Types of Volunteer Opportunities
Children and Family Engagement
In this role, volunteers focus on creating meaningful interactions between children and their caregivers. You’ll guide families through exhibits, offering insights and activities that help both children and adults learn together. This role is ideal for volunteers who are enthusiastic, patient, and enjoy creating an inclusive and engaging environment where children and caregivers can bond while exploring exhibits.
Background Check Information:
To protect the safety of the families we serve, a background check is required.
Educators: If you are an educator or work in a position that already requires a background check, please upload proof of your background check during registration to be exempt from this step.
All other volunteers will receive an email with instructions for completing a background check after submitting the application.
Exhibit Development
If you enjoy creative, hands-on projects, our exhibit-making volunteer role is ideal for you. Volunteers in this category work alongside our team to design, construct, and assemble engaging exhibits for children and families. You’ll contribute to brainstorming new ideas, sourcing materials, and helping bring educational and cultural displays to life.
Operational Support
Our operational support volunteers play a key role in ensuring that our events and day-to-day operations run smoothly. This role is perfect for individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and enjoy working behind the scenes to create seamless experiences for families.
